The Suzanna is a lovely and stable ship designed by Vripack from Sneek to make long trips and built by Damen Shipyard at Galati in Romania. In 2002 the Suzanna was built by the director of the shipyard, He himself sailed the Suzanna outside to Harlingen. In 2015 the Suzanna was bought, making them the second owner. Almost immediately they started living on board. In recent years, the ship has been slightly modified. New equipment, upholstery, double glazed plastic and the bow thruster has been replaced for a better one. Sailing characteristics are excellent. Living space more than sufficient, a spacious engine room with standing height, where you can easily reach everything. The boat sails very pleasant on inland and offshore waters and is very maneuverable.
Finally a boat that deserves the name "cruising yacht" or trawler. Wheelhouse with central control station (because of symmetrical sightlines) and side exits (more manageable than having to go "back" first), separate work deck in the bow area and spacious aft deck and headroom in the engine room (not to be underestimated for maintenance work). Everything to live on it, and to sail long distances. Sufficiently motorized, where 15 l/h is more likely to be expected in the medium rpm range (otherwise using the full power of 147 kW (with two engines) yields arithmetically 210 g/kWh = 30.87 kg = 36.5 l/h), on the Rhine uphill, 30 l/h would be realistic at 3/4 speed. In 22 years only 2,000 running hours (91 hours per season) shows that this ship is actually at the beginning of its journey. The price is absolutely realistic with this technical equipment. The professional background of what the boat represents has also pleasantly surprised the current owner. Many professional vessels have the handicap of their original function. Here is clearly a ship built as a yacht by a professional yard, in my opinion technically the best combo.
In 2022, the window frames are double-glazed in plastic.
The portholes are single glass in aluminum.
The ship has high pile carpet in the living room, master bedroom and vip room. There are also mosquito screens and double blackout plisse topdown honeycomb on the vessel.
